I am looking for a reasonable price software package to edit 4K video footage from the Iphone 6s and Samsung S8. Also I need a recommendation on how to play the edited video on a 4K TV. Adobe Premiere Pro is expensive because I do not use the software very often.

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 2018. I got it on sale a few months ago for about $90. It works fine for me, and my limited abilities.

I have a drone that shoots video up to 4K and I have shot video at 4K. The only problem I have is my old laptop falls all over itself attempting to edit a 4K video. It is so choppy on my laptop that I really can’t see it enough to edit. Just something to think about if your computer may be a bit underpowered like mine.

As far as playing the 4K video on the TV, I just save it to a jump drive and plug it into the TV with no problems.

Very reasonably priced would be the full featured DiVinci Resolve NLE editor. It does have a learning curve, but provides excellent results for amateur and pros alike, and it is FREE!

I haven't tried editing phone videos, but I like VSDC video editor. Costs ~$20, and I get it for $14.95/yr. I also use it for creating time lapses

Link to the free version. I think it's adequate, but, at the price, go pro...

Thanks. I've had a free version for quite a while. I seem to rarely use it, perhaps because it is much more than I need. But, I'm downloading it now on my main PC. I recall their being a massive help and tutorial section (400 pages or even larger...?)

Since I got my superb Canon R5, I've shot a fair bit of 4k 120 and 8K Raw videos, and have dabbled in the programs provided by Canon. But my editing skills are rudimentary at best.
