Hmmm...... They also offered me a $25 discount during their recent disagreement with me over a several hundred dollar error on their part. These incidents are becoming rather common with Adorama; this generates a noticeable problem with my perception of their integrity. If I didn't know better, I might be inclined to believe the company had been acquired by Ritz Cameras.
You are not referring to a used item, but to an email sale newsletter that you received and read on a desktop, where the price of a refurbished Nikon DF camera appeared incorrectly when viewed on a desktop.
I know this because you previously corresponded with me as follows:
"Your Spring Sale email advertises a refurbished Nikon DF camera with lens for 48% off $2495.00, but your order desk refuses to accept my order of $1297.40. If a company, particularly one that has worked so long to establish such an outstanding reputation, advertises falsely or in error, they should honor their commitment or make a good faith effort to provide a suitable solution"
The price was correct when viewed on a mobile device but not on a desktop, due to design grid issues. In my view you were fortunate to have been given a $25 voucher or gift card, as you had incurred no loss. In addition, our website states:
"We make every effort to provide you with an error-free Web site. However, in the event there is a misprint, we reserve the right to correct copy or pricing to reflect the actual current status.
Order confirmation given to you through Adorama Camera does not guarantee our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of an offer to sell. Adorama Camera reserves the right to decline and cancel an order, or supply less than quantity ordered at any time."
And the above forms part of the terms and conditions of ordering from adorama.com.
In my opinion. your comparison to another retailer who you clearly view with such disdain, is disingenuous and unkind.
