Another endorsement for David Bosch's book Though it is relatively expensive compared to some other alternatives, it is very comprehensive and well written. Also, Steve Perry's 'Secrets to the Nikon AF System' PDF is excellent. And lastly, there are a number of good youtube videos available.

I say! A tablet you say? Well, for all of you peons forced to indulge in such technicalities my deepest regrets. I, on the other hand, being of REAL means, am always accompanied by my man servant Rigby. Should I need to make a menu change, I simply hand my 7500 to him and command him to make whatever change I desire ("Rigby, my good man, would you be so kind as to change the bracketing parameters?") for instance. Problem solved.

Of course, for you chaps too cheap to hire your own man servant, I suppose referring to a paper manual layed out in a fashion you're comfortable with will do. Or even one of those clumsy tablets for those who don't mind adding to the pile of costly technology everyone is expected to accept. of course, if I need more technology, Rigby carries it all. No problem!

Yeah, I would rather have a French maid do these things for me, but my wife would frown on that. So, I make do with a tablet and smartphone. You won't believe this, but I use the smartphone for other things like Snapbridging with my D7500.

Any suggestions on a good instruction manual for the Nikon D7500? The Nikon version is awful. Thanks.

If you prefer a Paper manual to be used at home, I would research them on line. A book store usually has very good visuals.
When I was looking for the D5500 manual (used camera-I had NO manual), I checked (in order of importance to me) the Index (help with individual features; Table of Contents (organization of presentation by author), and finally sample pages to show how the information was presented. I did start with the knowledge of using other Nikon DSLRs.

Since I live in a metro area I went to a Big bookstore to confirm my choice hands on. I was surprised that they only had one book on the shelf! The newer D5600 had two books on the shelf. It ain't no Camera store! but...they do not stock much either.
Holding the book in hand I saw that the text was easy to read, the Index made more sense relative to the writing, and the book was a good choice for me. I chose the Book-in-Hand. I read the first half of he book, and am happily making spot improvements from the Index as I use the camera.

The D7500 had two books on the shelf (in April), so you are not likely to get a real overview in a store.
I am from the older generation that prefer extended reading from paper. If I used a cell phone I would get a PDF copy too, based mainly its Index.
a Note: when I bought a used camera thru Hedgehog, I chose the camera for sale that included a printed book.

Grace, the problem is that it's written in American English instead of proper British English!! (Just kidding.)

I would agree that some things in my D750 book aren't fully or properly explained. Nevertheless I have found it to mostly well written and helpful. To be fair, none of the books I have had on cameras or smart phones were error free. But you said "many things" so perhaps he didn't do as well on that book.

By the way, that's why I often buy two books on the same subject. If I don't don't understand book A, I go to book B. It helped me in university wth economics, calculus, physics, etc. And it helps me with cameras - books are cheap, so maybe worth a try. Good luck. Cheers

Just for clarification, believe she was referring to the camera's instruction manual. Her Busch book wasn't arriving until the next day.

Don, I think Stardust has clarified your comment. Well I prefer British English but am used to American English and sometimes I find myself writing in American English as well :)
