Dennis, I answered to your handle, and replied in general regarding the remarks you posted. Still working on the relation alluded to, with the laxative/sleeping pill quote, re the horse thread or tangents that developed. Otherwise the snippets conversation gleaned from distant contributors was interesting and enjoyable. From this point forward, am observing jokes and photo advice, to get something done. There are a few wise people here who've dealt with a wide range of life issues, from good to bad, more so than others. Never ceases to amaze; there will always be someone who leaps to label, ridicule or psycho-analyze someone or something they don't understand, that doesn't jibe with their view, experience or life framework. I didn't read where anyone was verbally attacked. In any exchange, there are some waiting to peck anything apart; people you'll never see, meet or have coffee with offense, even though no offense was intended. Just because one can't see another's eyes doesn't mean the other person is actually thinking hatefulness as they type. That's why face to face conversations where the eyes tell all will always win out, most of the time. It makes intentions easier to grasp. Not the greatest analogy but in the lead-in to the old show Gunsmoke, Marshall Dillon glares at the guy in the street, and lucky for him, drew faster. As a 'what if' only, always wondered if the characters would've shared a few photo tips and a beverage under a tree before glaring and and drawing down, if the series would've been less popular. People are afraid (or apprehensive) of what they read or see but don't understand, and it follows if they can't see or understand another's point of view or frame of reference, they won't understand and surely won't get a joke. There'll always be good vs evil, but whenever anything devolves into psycho-babble-labeling or name-calling, it's time to move on to more productive pursuits. Be wise, safe, and happy (camera) shooting. sv

So Dennis
Why are you needing to be armed for lunch at Dennys?
Do you carry concealed when out for an evening of fine dining or when watching you Grand kids at the school play?
Seriously ....is it because you can? Or because it makes you feel safe ? Or because you need to?
Honestly educate me, your right I don't get it.....I would love to understand your "tough guy" attitude?
And it does seem to me that you are armed to the teeth because you are afraid of people.
Do you live in an area where most people are bad or out to hurt you?
Which may be true in other less stable parts of the world but not here in the US in 2018
Or are just carrying 24/7 for that one crazy that you might need to shoot?
I don't see the need and I worked in a high crime city area.

PS My family is safe without fire arms and I too Served my country.
But Thank You for your Service.

Don't you just love the feel of the Leica M in your hand .....me too.
Look we have something in common I'll bet there is more;-)
So Dennis br Why are you needing to be armed for ... (show quote)

You are getting to be harassing and an ass. I carry in case of a problem I hope never happens. If you are a pussy and expect the government plantation to handle your problems then so be it. I and many millions of people can and will handle our own protection WHEN the police are not available.

You are ridiculous. I am done.

Dennis

This thread has devolved to angry exchange. Before I Unwatch this topic, I will say I wholly support the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and its purport.

Ahhh Thank you my friend for explaining it to me.

"I carry in case of a problem"

Got it! Now I understand.
Sorry if my questions have made you feel harassed. I'm just trying to understand ....really.
How else can we hope to coexist ?
Have a good evening. Stay safe, be well and be careful.

To carry is Risk mitigation. I do. For years. Most important is staying out of trouble and common sense. Most violent acts are perpetrated by non-conservatives.

Millions of events, people remained safe as a result of unreported threats by protecting themselves with a firearm without firing it. Search for facts not opinions.

The brain is most important. Me? I’m combat trained, martial arts, Marine, certified firearms instructor and will run and avoid first.

I’ve got nothing to prove fighting some idiot. I have a family to go home to. Unless I have to - trapped, cornered, outnumbered... Then will seek to resolve the situation as peacefully as possible. Up to and including defending myself and stop the bad guy(s) doing evil.

Those without firearms and training have fewer options and may not get home to their families.

I’m also a refuse to be a victim instructor. If a student does not want/can’t use a firearm, still plenty to teach to help them to avoid being a victim in the first place.

That’s the point. In my experience, Anti-gunners do not listen and seem incapable of mature factual conversation.

Keep in mind, a trained armed woman is the equal of any man.

That it a sound an lucid argument. I completely understand your point of view and I agree with you as well.
Thank you for explaining it to me in such a logical and articulate manner

Can you tell me how we could all come together to keep the guns out of the hands of folks that shouldn't have them?
I am assuming that you would agree that some people do not have not the same level sound judgment and training as you?

The only answer cant be arm and try to train everyone or be sure that my Grandchild's 2nd grade teacher is armed.

Sincerely you are a person of good sense and great thought. How do we all solve this problem of gun violence in our society.
I'm not talking about "city" crime. I'm curious as to your views on the increased number of senseless mass shooting with legal guns?

Especially when neither side is will to listen to the other?

No kidding I'm open and listening. Give me a new solution to research and possibility to adopt ?

By the way my crowd already thinks women are equals with or without a gun;-)

I live close to Annapolis, MD. On my way into Annapolis, I pass many farms that have horses grazing in the field. My question is: Can I stop my car on a state highway and take a picture of a horse on a private farm? Thanks in advance.

I do it all the time,IF SAFE. I missed a shot of Hemmingways, Kent Is. Reflected in shallow water in the cove. It was georgeous!!!! Traffic heavy, oh well. If you come up from Calvert Co. on the Eastern most roads, past Randle Cliff, through North Beach, etc you will be safe, and the scenery can be enjoyed at leasure. Muddy Creek Road has King Leatherberry's farm on it. High dollar horse flesh. Still one or two tobacco barns, Tacarro Farms on Leitch Rd. Deale seafood, local seafood(good luck after all this rain) Galesville, drive to the end of Cumberstone Rd. The Smithsonian property in Mayo. I live in Annapolis. Bill. Glad to'meet' you

The problem is not gun violence; the problem is violence, regardless of the tools used. The guns are not to blame for the violence. Do you blame cars for car crashes? Or credit cameras for good pictures?

Great book on England. Leftists ruining things there. “Life at the Bottom”. Author Darypl (sp). Destitute poor white folks. Dems here depend on a permanent underclass too. Same strategy.

Oh yes in order to have a socialist government you need the government workers who rake in the money and the poor. You really do not need a another class of citizen. You can see this in Cuba easily. Also you can see it in the African nations that are socialist run. There are many other nations like that. I wish Americans would understand the more government we have the more poor people with no middle class we will have.

You will never be able to explain this to liberals.
