David - what you need are bigger birds.
Thanks very much for commenting.

This is a great and beautiful set....Rich

Thanks very much Sylvia.

This year I added woodpeckers by adding peanut butter to the menu. I'm trying to come up with something for next year. I do have a BlueBird family in the back yard. I might have to move my chair back there or build another one.

Build another one! Then you can run between the two and catch front and back birds. I love the Bluebirds they are so pretty. I have a Woodpecker family on the nuts in the garden, but the slightest movement from me and they are off.

Well done, my friend! Your park has the added benefit of being near the 'fridge and a clean bathroom!

OK, so I left the porch and walked to the backyard with camera, 400mm, and a tripod. I had to raise the tripod since I don't have a chair back there. But, I was rewarded with a few Bluebird shots that I will post later.

Thanks Bernie.

When I used to go shooting on Long Island I had a cup holder from an Oldsmobile attached to my tripod. I got a few shots that others missed while they putting there cups on the ground. At first they laughed, but some followed.

But being 5 steps from the kitchen is definitely better.
