Meet in Bank, or Police Station. Arrive Much earlier than seller (or buyer) and leave after they do, and don't go home, go grocery shopping, etc. Of course it is up to you to take all precautions for your safety (not seller or buyer's). If you are elderly or handicapped it is doubly necessary to follow safety considerations. Take a younger, bigger, rougher. friend (or two).
This whole subject is a scam. Let's get back to Photography. OK?

GET OVER IT, PEOPLE! The OP has reported TWICE that the contact did not answer. The Ebay ad is gone. The OP isn't meeting anyone anywhere. My advice, your advice......ARE NO LONGER NEEDED!!!
Besides it's all repetition now; there are no new thoughts. Nine pages is enough.

What's wrong if it goes on forever? Let people say what they want to say.
What's wrong with this? Go to facebook if you want it to last forever. This is a photo site. Enough has already been said about this subject. Let's get back to discussions about PHOTOGRAPHY. We know the post was about a scam.

Permanent residents of the US ("green card" holders) can legally buy guns.
I'm sorry, but I would never put myself in a position like that for anything. Take a friend who carries a gun just to buy a stupid camera? I'll pay extra thank you very much. Oh, and good luck with the purchase. Ask for the extended warranty while you are at it. Your friend may need to bring one of those scary AR15's with him though. :-D

Green card holders are not permanent residents until they apply for US citizenship. Green cards are legal ways to gain entry through work and if they quit that work they need to re-apply for the next job to see if it qualifies for green card use. The green card is officially revoked when they leave the qualifying job. Oh they may carry it around but they become illegal aliens when they no longer have the work that the green card is for. I have talked to Canadians who have told me about this and they were afraid of losing their job as they said they would have to go back home when the job ended. green cards are basically work visas to use another term. If you know more than that officially please feel free to tell me so. As for buying guns if you buy any guns not in the state you live in you must have the guns shipped at your cost to a local gunsmith or legal gun shop so that at that location you can again be checked out through the feds and the state. If you buy them in your home state you must fill out the correct paperwork and perform the correct wait time for your state waiting period. Permanent residents are citizens of the USA. Just like Illegal Aliens in the USA a law breakers who have broken USA immigration laws. Green card carriers are only here for the job they have the green card for which is like a work visa. Until you become a citizen you are not a permanent resident even if you lived here for 50 years or more. Most permanent residents are born here.

I am not sure that what you're saying is correct. I have two sets of personal experience: my own and my wife's. In my case, I started on a H1B visa (work at one firm and have a skill that's needed). For my green card, the firm had to demonstrate that no one in the US could do my job. I got the green card and was told by the INS that I could now work for any firm in the US. At the same time I got my green card, my wife and children got theirs (she didn't work at the time and the children were under 18) and she was told the same thing.
You may have confused the green card with the various kinds of work visas; the work visas are indeed limited to one firm. Official information can probably be obtained at the INS web site; I don't think the issue is important enough to justify the research.

My point was that until you become a citizen you are not a permanent resident. But thanks for a bit of clarification. The wife and children were permitted only due to your work and had your work ended I would think that you and family were expected to return to the country you came from and usually at your expense unless the company you worked for paid your way.

A so-called gun-free zone only means that the law-abiding don't have guns. A criminal, by definition, is one who does not obey the law, so don't expect a criminal not to have a gun (or several) anywhere.
Thus, being in a so-called gun-free zone is no guarantee whatsoever against being shot.
