I got up early yesterday and drove down to Fort Soledad to get a good vantage point for some pictures of the blood moon here in Guam. Unfortunately, my phone does not do well at night and, although I brought my Nikon, I couldn't remember how to get it set up right for good night shots. After messing around with it for a bit, I looked up and realized I was missing the eclipse while I was trying to figure it out. So, I decided to just set back and enjoy the view unhindered by having to take any pictures. I guess, the best camera is not always the one you have with you, but maybe sometimes the one you know how to use best. The last picture in this set is the best I could do for the night photography. The others are some random pictures I took throughout the day as I drove around and hiked. Hope you enjoy them.
These are very nice shots. You have an excellent eye for composition and cropping. Keep up the good work
nice shots, if the last one was the moon, the problem was it is overexposed. The moon is really brighter than one thinks. I just shot the moon at ISO 100 and f8 at 1/200!
the other was shot similarly.
the crescent was at dusk, a slightly different effect, but also, shot almost as if the moon was daylight.
Thanks ematisoff and NMGal. Toxdoc42, I really like your first one.
Very nice work! #1 is the star of your show.
