What makes this car old? What old cars do you have around where you are?

Jeannie..when the first Grandam came out in 1987/88 my wife and I saw one in a showroom it was a gold color. Both of us made a dash for it at the same time. We drove it home an hour later. What a wonderful car. People would just stare when you would drive down the street.

This shot of yours was a one of a kind I am sure. Good job and a quick eye I might add.

If there was one thing two many in my lifetime it would have been cars. Since I was fifteen I have had close to 80-85 cars. Below is one of my favorites. However the one I had was red.

Hey Bob J; Your picture reminds me of the first car I ever drove. The one I drove was a 1928 Ford Model A open touring car. You needed a block and a half to stop it once it got up to a speed over 40mph.

I like the shot you took. Peaceful reminder

Wow, that looks like a Volvo P1800 concept car, never saw one before. My uncle Rick was the VP of Volvo USA back in the 60's.
I always wanted a 1800ES Sport
Great looking car!

Hey Doe...It looks like you may have had it focused too close and you got way too close to the coupe while taking the short.
I had a 1939 Merc coupe ( green ) that had the same body shape as this one does.

good shots. I too love the old cars as I had way too many in my day. At one time I had four parked on the street in Chicago and this one lady asked me how many cars do you have. That was very funny at the time.

BobJ; Now you are right in my alley. The red P1800 coupe in your pcture was excaulty like mine. I started working with Wigglesworth Volvo in Evanston Ill in 1963 and I drove ( in addition ) semi to Jacksonville to pick up new volvo's back then as well as working as a parts manager for the dealer. We even raced a few Volvo's on a frozen lake. I am sitting here looking at one of my first place throphys as I type this. I am enclosing a picture that is similar to one our volvo's that our family had for many years and my kids learned how to drive in it.

Love the Volvo pictures. Keep snapping
