The Walmart website lists items from many vendors, not just from Walmart. The fact that thay’re Posted on the Walmart site does not mean that they are reputable dealers. Use the same caution that you would if a store that you never heard of posted it’s own ad. Buyer beware.

I always seem to be a dollar short and a day late. I bought a Echo pole trimmer recently just after a 20% rebate had expired. Could have saves $120.00 on that one. ;~( On a different note........................has anyone done business with Berger Brothers Camera? If so, is it a reputable company? Thanks.

I have heard that they are reliable from Nikonians web site

I may be wrong, but I think eBay changed their procedures quite a while back to add their fee to cost of item including shipping to circumvent the seller's trickery. Well after posting my response and finally read through the entire thread I see someone else pointed this out also, and so I am editing to add this comment.

That's a fairly common occurance on eBay. Low price high shipping. % taken by eBay on sale price, but not shipping.

I bought a Sony lens from PIXIBYTES INC. I thought it might be gray market, but found the USA Warranty. When I registered the lens through Sony's website the only stores that came up where Amazon, of course B&H and Adorama. I am assuming that it would have not registered if the lens was gray market. This got me thinking, I will only make
my purchases thru Amazon, B&H, Adorama and Unique Photo. Check for price matches when purchasing!

It's no scam. It is called bait and switch. They bait you with a low price thinking you will buy on impulse and switch the free mail with a higher shipping cost. In most cases you are paying the same as if you ordered the camera at a higher price but with free shipping. When comparing camera prices you must look at the TOTAL for each deal. This is how Abe's and others work also, it is a very accepted practice that the consumer must be aware of. I have no problems ordering from Walmart, they told you up front what it would cost. NOW, it is up to you.

If you are serious about your gear do not take risks in the Internet, unless you are buying from reputable dealers. Go to Walmart or Best Buy and consider yourself lucky if you find someone with acceptable photographic knowledge.
Look for those "killing deals" at reputable camera shops.

Just have it shipped to your local Walmart and pick it up in person. This is usually free.

I ordered a NEW Nikon lens through Wal-Mart. Imagine my dismay when I opened the package and noticed the original Nikon box and packaging were not there – looked like a REFURBISHED lens package plus the serial number indicated foreign origin. None of this was indicated on the website.
I contacted Wal-Mart and pointed out that I had experience in ordering refurbished lens and knew how to read the serial number to determine whether or not the lens qualified for a U.S. warranty. Also pointed out that their website indicated this was a NEW lens.
They promptly agreed to issue a full refund upon receipt of the lens, which they did. To expedite the refund, I didn’t haggle about return shipping costs (less than $10) – they had shipped it to me free of shipping charge. Best to stick with the solid citizens like B&H and Adorama.

I guess I lucked out, I just happened to catch a sale at Nikon for the refurbished D7200 for $699.00. When I relieved it and had 1562 clicks on it looked brand new I am pleased with it and had no issues.

During the past Mothers Day Holiday Week, you could have purchased a brand new D7200 for $796 from B&H Photo, with free shipping, and no State Sales Tax. And not a gray market camera either. The price has now risen to $996 today. And with the recent new Supreme Court Ruling, all States that collect Sales Tax, will now get it with online orders. If it isn't already implemented? A $109.98 shipping fee is unreasonable. More like $10.98.
