As the man said, Jerry, "Odd..." have been using Logitech wireless kbd for about 3 years and their mice until the lights wear out. Have never had a problem with either

Wireless, except bluetooth devices, are at 2.4mgh and if too close to your wireless router, may be susceptible to interference. I use, on three devices, three wireless mice, and one wireless keyboard, all logitech. I have heard the most gamers prefer wired keyboards for speed, etc. Good luck. BTW, contact Logitech support. they are very helpful once you get with them.

I prefer wireless, too, but not when it misses letters. The K800 does have a Caps Lock light, which is nice.

I use a MacBook Pro; with a wireless Apple "Magic Mouse"; and Apple wireless keyboard. Both operate flawlessly and are surprisingly easy on their respective battery. The keyboard is full-sized with caps-lock light. The mouse has no observable buttons...It uses laser sensor for tracking. They are easy to stow in my backpack when traveling. You might want to consider them as options.

I'm about ready to give up on wireless keyboards and mice. I have two different models of Logitech keyboards, and both of them occasionally take a break. I'll look up and see that it didn't enter letters or entire words. I've used different receivers and put them in different locations. The mice have the same problem. They sometimes stop working. Turning them off and on usually works.

One kbd is the Logitech K800 - brand new - and the other is similar, but it doesn't have the back-lit keys. The mice are M510 and M310. I've tried different mice, with the same result. One kbd uses batteries, and the other is rechargeable.

I have the Dell wireless that came with my computer. Still works great.

Jerry my friend, you have only yourself to blame. The last time you had a weird computer problem, I suggested a burnt offering (of the offending part) to the computer gods, but did you listen? Noooo. 😩

Ditto for me. Love the backlit K800 and M570 trackball. Learned the hardway to make the receiver as close as possible.

I have a K520 keyboard that is working fine after close to two years. Came with an M310 mouse that is rudimentary but is also hanging in there. Both are still operating on the same Harbor Freight batteries that I put in them when I brought them home from Office Depot and have never been turned off. Both are used about 2 feet from the computer and I have had no hiccups so far. Also were cheap enough that I can throw them away and replace them without qualms if either fails after this long.

Thanks to several who mentioned rinsing them off because it is only a matter of time before my wife's cat who likes to lie between the keyboard and monitor knocks over my coffee cup.

My Logitech manual states that the receiver must be plugged directly into the computer's USA port and not into a hub.

My computer is a laptop, so keyboard is included. Prefer a wired mouse for precise movement in drawing and photo editing. Wireless are too slow. Have a wired Logitech G403 gaming mouse.

I am currently using a HP corded keyboard and HP corded mouse. Same problem as you describe mouse or keyboard stops working for no apparent reason. I have used Logitech keyboards/mice for many years. (first mouse required a printed mouse board for the mouse to locate its position.) I have just purchased a Logitech MK710 set of wireless mouse and keyboard, will see how this works out. I usually wear out the mouse before the keyboard and the setup wears out in three to four years. I use my computer for several hours (or more) every day. I am getting ready to upgrade my computer (desktop) so I may wait and put it on the new desktop. BTW I also use wireless mouse (Logitech) on my HP Laptop and Microsoft Surface Pro 3. I suspect that it is a problem either Windows 10 and/or USB connection. Try connecting using a different USB port. FWIW.

I also have a K520 and an M310 mouse. Works for well over a year on their respective batteries. Logitech Setpoint software tells me when the batteries are low. There is a later version of this software (can't remember its name) which tells you the battery status when you hover over the system tray icon. The keyboards (at least all the Logitech ones I have used or sold) can be cleaned if you spill coffee or rum and coke over them. Rinse first in fresh water then carefully dismantle and dry it out and reassemble. Takes about a 1/2 hour so depending on how you value your time may or may not be economical. I do have a spare set so not a problem to me. And you can also download Logitech software (Logitech Unifying Software) which will allow you to match up keyboards and mice to the same receiver. And you can buy spare receivers. This can be very useful if you leave the receiver plugged into your laptop and it gets clipped on something. I also keep spares of the receiver.
The only downside is that sometimes there can be a slight delay before the receiver "sees" the devices. Don't ask me why but this time delay seems to be variable sometimes. Only about once a year does it annoy me. I can see why gamers wouldn't like them.
