An attempt to make this a Black & White photo. I just never do B&W, thought I would give it a try.
The is the Little Grand Canyon in Yellowstone National Park. The waterfall is 320ft from top to bottom. That white stuff on the hills is snow.
You did good ! ....Thanks for sharing

That's not bad, but still needs a little push. Suggest you look at some of Ansel Adams'
western landscapes for things like contrast, black and white levels and selective use
of dodging and burning. I hope you are using Lightroom for PP.
I like it. Glad you did not make the waterfalls have that silky water look.
You did quite well. Nice tonal range with few, if any, blown out areas. Nice detail in the shadow. Good mid-range presentation, as well.

That looks like the place where three hickers got killed a couple days ago ,one woman fell and two men jumped to save her , in B.C. Canada, it was about a hundered feet down rocks and end of water fall at bottom , I don't have a clue why the other two jumped ,the only thing I can think of is they were back from the edge and when she went over they could see water in the distance back ground and thought
It was a big lake down below , they were tourist,

Great tonal range in your Black and White. Good job.Keep it up.
I thought I would give it a try. I spent about five minutes on it and stopped. I think I will pull up some youtube videos and see if I can figure out the proper way to make a black and white. I wasn't in the mood to research it before giving it a try.

Nice shot.
I think black and white can be unforgiving in composition, clarity, texture, and tone. There's no color to distract the eye. This shot is really nice but a bit blurry so hard to bring out definition between things for more clarity and punch is selected areas.
The view must have been breathtaking!!!!
thanks for posting this beautiful shot.

This looks quite good to me!
Move over, William Henry Jackson. Ya done good, grandpaw.
As a film shooter, and mainly b/w landscapes, you did the hard part.... capturing the shot in hood light. Adjustments are subject to taste, as there is no one set standard. Adjust to what you like and later you can play with it some more.
Great shot.
That's a very nice looking b&w....nicely done.
