Could be at that price they just want to be sure the credit card is good for it. Might be why they have a waiting list. Gives them time to check out things. Especially if you are not a business or a regular customer that is always buying from them.

I can say that B & H is the best dealer from my experience .
I am from India , my daughter is working here. I am on a vacation in United States .
My daughter gifted me a new Nikon D 750 & 24 - 120 mm zoom lens. After that i decided to purchase a Tokina 10 - 17 mm fish eye zoom . Both purchase were done with B & H . After one week of the 2nd purchase Nikon announced a big price reduction & some freebies for D 750 & 24 - 120 mm combos.

I feel very sad for the early purchase. I informed my daughter about the price reduction & freebies . She contacted B & H and they offered the same price reduction & freebies to me also . I got every thing within 4 days !

I can't believe it ! I never expected this because my purchase is on an earlier date & at that time Nikon never been announced the offers.
I think only B & H will do so . I share this good news through What's App & face book with my friends in India & in Middle East countries ( UAE , KSA , KUWAIT, BAHRAIN , QUTAR & OMAN ) . Every body appreciated B & H for their sincere approach towards a buyer .

I agree that B&H is good to deal with. They did the same for me when they added a 4% store credit shortly after I purchased a lens.

But, they also saved you and them some extra work. After only a week you could have returned the camera for a full refund and repurchased it at the lower price.

The thing with B&H is, in my experience, they make it easy.
