Captured this image at Longwood Gardens today. The flower the insect is on can't be more than 1 1/2"-2" in diameter, so that will give you an idea of the size of the bug. Posted it on BG, but haven't gotten a response. Only thing I found with a Google search was a site in Australia that requires a login/password. Hoping Mark or someone else has seen this insect and can ID it.

It is a weevil (family Curculionidae), and by context it could be a flower weevil. So maybe this species: https://bugguide.net/node/view/1017484/bgimage

This Flower Weevil didn't walk, at least not while I was looking at it. Maybe I'll hang around to see that if I spot another.
