I purchase a lot of gear and sell it periodically to help finance new purchases. Tried selling to private individuals and decided its not worth the hassles.
I've been selling to KEH for many years and never had a bad experience, but lately their service has deteriorated, time wise and their follow through with updates has been less than stellar. The last two transactions were very slow, took about one month, and it might have been slower had I not contacted them.
Recently discovered a new player...MPB in NY. Gave them a try just recently and they came trough without a hitch. Matched the quote price and had the money in my account in 8 working days.
Good job MPB. Will use you again for sure.

Do you have a link for them?
I used MPB earlier this year to sell some gear. Found a recommendation for them here on UHH.
They offered the best prices (compared to BH, Adorama and KEH). Also, MPB was very quick to respond to any questions I had.
I highly recommend them.

Emailed MPB equipment I wanted to sell (camera, 2 lenses). Rec'd a quote within a few hours, with a link to a free FedEx Shipping label. They inspect, confirm or revise the quote, ship back if you don't accept the deal.
I took mine to a local shop and got the same deal, so I'd say mpb's quote was fair. If you don't have a local b&m store available, I'd give them a shot.

I sell on Ebay and get anywhere from 50-80% more on my equipment than if I traded it in. And yes, THAT is worth the hassle, very worth the hassle.
I am currently selling off my Sony A mount camera equipment to purchase a new Nikon 500 f4 FL. If I traded in I would still be $4000.00 short. By selling myself I will have enough to buy the lens. Yes again, selling on ebay is worth the hassles for $4000.00.
I have also used them with success and have found that they offer more money for your gear.
I recently sold a camera to Camera Jungle here in the U.K. I feel got a better deal than if I'd used eBay, as for the price they offered, many of the eBay listings had bundled accessories like memory cards and other bits. I wasn't selling any of that, so would have got less. The battery grip wasn't so high a price as eBay, and my bridge camera, if I do sell it, will command a better price on eBay. I think it's best to research each item before deciding who to sell to.
Great. You found that link all by yourself.
I'm very impressed with MPB. I recently traded in a camera body and lens for another camera body and lens. I felt the price quoted for my equipment was fair as were the prices on the body and lens I traded for. One thing I really like is when viewing anything on their website, you are looking at the actual item you are interested in, not some stock photos. Also, in the case of camera bodies, the actual shutter count is given. All in all, I'm very happy with them and will do business with them again.

NO. I had the help of 2 chimpanzees and a Baboon
I’ve used MPB twice to sell cameras and lenses-I was very pleased and highly recommend.

I used MPB last month to sell a camera. The deal went just fine.
Sold 3 lately, 1 to KEH and 2 to B&H. Suggest you compare prices (i.e. offers). You might be surprised. B&H was fast.

Thanks for the info Joe. I just signed up and got a quote from them for my Canon 5D Mk II with grip that was $160 better than Adorama's. It's going to MPB first thing Monday morning via FedEx.
