Just a yes or no.
If you are asking should you get a backup camera, how would we know? What kind of shooting do you do? I've had at least two similar cameras (so that controls are second nature no matter which camera I'm using) for the past 38 years. If you do shoots where you can't just stop if one camera konks out (You are doing a wedding, you are in Nepal, etc.), certainly get a backup camera. If your need for a backup isn't critical, just use your phone's camera as a backup.
If you are asking should you get another of the same camera you already have, again, only you can really answer that. As I've said, my backup is similar, but not necessarily identical, to my primary camera. Back in the day, I had two identical cameras so that I could have two different films or lenses or both. Since going digital, I go with one Nikon FX and one Nikon DX.

You want a solid answer.... ask the wife!
Whoops... What if he has a backup wife (mistress). How does he justify that? If he doesn't get what he needs from his one wife, why support two women.
I tried that once, but my wife figured out why that other women moved in with us. She left!
It appears what he has now makes him happy, so why not just be satisfied, like he may already be with his current wife.
Happy Wife, Happy Life? Isn't that what they say?

That was a bizarre post. spechs and speechs I presume to mean what the rest of us refer to as specs. What is B & M? You mean B & H? Slow down. It is too early to think this hard for you. Is there a question in there?

I have been running around in my mind. A back up camera. I go over the spechs over again and wanting the same speech's. I have found the RX10M4 to give me alot more than I ask and it gifts me well. I have been on the phone with B and M, Canon Tech. Sony tech. Any good suggesation to where I can go. I realize that This is expensive I have given it too much thought.. The RX has been great...I couldn`t ask for more,,,Maybe a short yes or no and a short explination...This may be a foolish question....but It I don`t ask I may not get assistance. Thank you I will try to not feel foolish

I bought a back up camera, so I could have other lenses on one; not trying to see how fast can I change a lens, then lose what I am trying to shoot. Now I have 3 cameras, and two hands... lol
No I don't understand your question if any. Yes I am confused.

Sorry. I didn’t think the op’s question was originally in English. I was being sarcastic but didn’t mean to offend. After reading the responses, I now Understand the question.
Sorry,
Andy.
That is assuming those who gave responses actually understood the question.

NO., Buy a 2nd camera but not as a backup. Get it as a 2nd camera. You'll need it.

I will make a guess that you are asking whether readers recommend the RX10M4 as a backup camera. A simple yes or no is hard depending on your type of shooting, budget, etc. However, given you are even considering it means it basically fits both criteria. Not knowing this model and after reading reviews, I would say "yes" if you can live with a motorized zoom. I understand jeep daddy, it may well end up as more than a backup.
If you want a clear cut YES or NO answer... please give us a clear cut... simple... question.
Remember... you reap what you sew.
