Background... 70d, 7dm2, 5dm3 and now 5dm4. I have several Sigma Art lenses. Sigma 35mm 1.4 art has been used on 70d, 7dm2, and 5dm3 with no issue. Last night using it on the 5dm4 for the first time I snap a photo and get massive Vingnetting. I switch to live view and I see three grey circles (like s target) . I can see through them but.... only one single vingnett shows on the photo. I will add sample photos later when I can. Yes I tried taking off the glare collar, no help. I tried my 50mm and it's fine. Any ideas ???
I know an APS-C lens on a full frame will vignette. Are any of the cameras APS-C?
Is the lens an APS-C?
Does it look like this? This is an APS-C lens on a full frame camera.
Yes, but the lens is made for full frame and works fine on my other full frame camera (5dm3).
only one. Are you using a zoom lens with a front hood??
that looks very much like a zoom lens with a hood attached but shooting at full zoom.
Just by looking at the result.
Damn! I own a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 and am thinking of buying a 5D4 to replace my 5D3 this year. While it isn't a deal breaker, it sure gives one to pause. The Sigma lens is a great lens and is known for its sharpness. I wonder if there are any other lenses out there with similar issues when mounted on the 5D4?

Isn't possible hood vignetting a problem at wide, not telephoto?

I am a huge fan of Sigma and use several other lenses from them. Thus far I've tried my 50mm and 85mm as well the 14mm , all Art series and they are fine on the 5DM4. Not a deal breaker for me and it seems there is a fix so... I have others to still try and if I find lenses in my bag that don't work, I will be sure to let you know.

probably should of stated at fully open, not at zoom.
Still looks like a hoodie problem
It's a 35mm art prime!! What part of that do you not understand??
And there is a work around and a fix coming

What is it with so many people on uhh? Why don’t you read all the replies before typing the wrong answer?
How many filters were stacked on the lens? Some thick filter's rings can cause vignetting with only the 1 filter screwed in front of the lens.
