I would suggest reading Ken Rockwell's take on the lens. He has a library of reviews on his site.
What I would do is go in my backyard use a tripod pick a scene with some objects in it whatever they are
and shoot with all the lens keep a record of which ones are which on pad or computer.
Put them in a computer as study what they do. How sharp they are. Do they have a color rendition.
I follow some film and still pro shooters that use some of the most exotic lens. Some lens are just lousy
and Ken has no problem saying that. Video documentary makers love some of these older prime lens.
