Looking for a flash for my D7200. Narrowed it down to these two. Other than the battery specs look similar. I will be picking up a Godox PROPAC PB960 so the battery in the flash shouldn't really be an issue. Other than the battery is there any good reason to go with the 860.
Thanks
The Godox flash units are very good, high quality! I've owned several, currently own 2 of them for my Olympus gear, previously 3 for Canon gear.
I have the 685. Though I’m happy with it, I think I’ll buy an 860 next time. I shoot events and want something that lasts longer in the battery dept. Battery packs are great, but would prefer not to have more cables hanging off my rig.

the 860 has an option with li-on battery built in that will give you at least 500 full power flashes so you don't really need the plugin battery pack and I don't believe it will even work with the li-on version of the 860 I also have an ad200 which is a cross between a flash and a strobe type unit... 3 times the power of a flash.. 200 ws. Godox is made under several brand names Flashpoint, cheetah, neewer are a few that I know of. I use the flashpoint versions which are sold by adorama and also amazon and are supposedly the US versions.

Yep! I have the AD 200 as well. Awesome system.
Another feature that sets the Godox 860 apart, besides the battery is a built-in wireless trigger that works with their transmitter.
Thanks for the replies. I ended up going with the 685 and the PROPAC PB960.
