Hi Bob,
I notice that the thistle is pin sharp , the butterfly less so. May I suggest that you place the point of focus on the butterfly itself.
In this particular image, you could quite easily increase the DOF without any detriment to the image itself, mainly because there is nothing in the backgriound that will start in interfere with the overall image.
There is part of a plant or something encroaching from the left, that is easily removed.
Overall, a nice photograph, well composed and executed. I hope that these comments assist. Regards, Norman C
