http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44256763It's important to note that they DID NOT STOP THE SHOOTING - they killed the shooter as he was walking away from the scene of the shooting. This is potentially manslaughter on their part, as
they were NOT facing any threat when they CHOSE to kill the shooter.
Republicans will spread this story far and wide as "Good guys with guns saved people!" NO, they did NOT. But since when did Republicans understand FACTS?

You are such a deluded moronic Libtard, the guy just shot up people and the two guys shot his ass to stop him from continuing his possible attack on others you moron. They had ever right and responsibility to take down the shooter due to the fact of what he just did and was still armed, you stupid uneducated moron.
If you read some of the stuff on this shooter you will see that he had some major problems
and shouldn't have been allowed to run free in society with a gun in his possession!
He posted stuff prior to losing it completely on YouTube : "In one of his clips, he complains of a demon-possessed squirrel, and in another of his refrigerator attacking him."
Now, as to the guy "kd7eir" .....I don't know who let him in Tucson with that
big cup that he obviously fills with illegal stuff and sips all day....unfortunate
we have other liberals in Tucson, some of them lose their minds and shoot
other unarmed liberals and conservatives just as in other cities all around the country.
I sometimes wish the country would go back to locking up and or keeping a sharp eye
on crazy people.....like in the days before Ronald Reagan ! .....although Reagan got shot
by a loon too ! shucks!

Until we figure out how to identify loons as you call them and do something about them, no amount of gun control laws (common sense or otherwise) will impact violence. As has been said probably a thousand times, guns aren't the problem. Knives, machete's and bombs seem to be working pretty effectively around the world.

Maybe they should have had meaningful dialog with the shooter, he is just misunderstood, it's not really who he is, he is just such a good boy. Bull shit, shoot him in the head.

Well, yes. Obviously you can kill people with knives, machetes, bombs, garrottes, etc. But firearms are SO MUCH more effective! How many drive-by knifings can you cite? IIRC in China a man armed with a knife attacked children in a school. 20 were injured, NON DIED. He would have been much more effective with a firearm! And yes, a gun is merely a tool, as are knives and machetes; skilled hands with knives perform life-saving surgery, machetes are good for cutting brush or sugar cane. Garrottes typically are made of strong cord, which has other uses - hammocks come to mind. But a gun used in its most basic intended purpose is for killing: a bird, a squirrel, a deer, or perhaps a person. So if we can somehow reduce the number of firearms out there, as has been done in other countries, just possibly we can reduce our horrific firearm fatality rate. See this link:

As reported by the biggest wimp on this site.
Funny how people think reducing guns is the answer. Reduce the number of guns and nothing will change until the individuals intent on harming others are identified and dealt with. And making schools gun free zone without proper protection is ludicrous. Why do you think schools are targets rather than police stations for mass killings. Pretty simple to answer that. The real problem is it's easier to imply reduction of guns will solve the problem than attacking the real problem - people. Pp[qpuote=GeorgeH]Well, yes.
