Hi! I am a faithful follower but definitely new at posting images here, so I hope these go in the correct place! Please bear with me...Two very different fences. I travel a lot of the back roads for work and my camera is always with me. I welcome any comments, as I'm just starting as a rank amateur. Thanks!

Welcome to the Hedgehog, and thanks for posting these nicely seen photos, Jeff! You have no reason to be shy about your work. The image of a fence that is losing its battle to separate whatever it was separating has a certain poignancy to it these days. On the other hand, the tiny fence separating vast nothingness on each side seems like a pointless vanity on the part of whoever decided to "build" it.

Don't worry about your amateur status. Most UHH members are not professionals, which is as it should be. We are not selling our photographs, even when the quality exceeds that of professionals active in the genre. We are sharing our photos with each other for the sheer enjoyment of the comradeship and sometimes the pleasure of learning something.

Hi everyone. Thank you for joining me in my challenge.

I thought we could do a fences challenge, wood, plastic, wire, steel, rock or any other fences.

How we anchor barb wire fences in Eastern Oregon High Desert... No post holes. Subsoil most often lava bed rock.

Here are a few that I just took on my last trip. They are on the Mendocino coast, between Albion and Point Arena. Enjoy...….My first photos posted here BTW.
