What does chimp mean? I am going to assume it means look at the image after you have taken and adjust?
If that is the case then A is my answer

Maybe, then there's the instant gratification that "Yes!", it turned out the way I wanted it to.

Yes, looking at the resultant image on the LCD after capturing it.

I have never heard of the expression to "chimp" a shot. I don't wish to go off topic, but would someone please explain?

In that case, always. I check for blinkies and adjust exposure accordingly.

I take different shots of the same thing on a regular basis. Most often a better 'composition' reveals itself when you can actually see 'it' in a rectangle rather than 'in place'. I also look at how the exposure differes as you move around.

I review the images (Downloaded) when I get home and delete the 'also ran's' whilst 'the intent' is still fresh in my mind. Two or three good shots on an outing is about par for what I want.

A, absolutely. It must be nice to be so confident that you have never made a mistake in changing light conditions or your camera is incapable of misreading the light situation. /s

Particularly at the beginning of a shoot. I chimp just to be sure I haven't forgotten to change some setting back after forgetting I changed it the other day.

Definitely A for me. I chimp occasionally and definitely up load the images to the PC for viewing on the same day. Even when I shoot film I would see my images the same day I took them. I love film but waiting to see the images I took isn't it. And neither was the unpredictable. I worked hard with film so that I would knew how the images will be when I took them.
