Glad I don't live in those heavy rain areas in SE & NE & MidWest.
Humidity too high & too wet.

I live in Southern California. What is rain?
I live in the NorthWest suburbs of Houston. We had 8 inches of rain on Sunday. You guys are welcome to come have some, but regrettably we are not able to provide transportation, you will have to take care of that for yourselves.
Don't know how much we got in north central New Mexico yesterday. But thankfully we did get rain (and thunder and lightning which scared our oldest dog who was never afraid of anything.)
We've got a 40% chance of more today.
We had a dry winter, no snow to speak of and our spring has been dry and a little slow in warming up.
I'll take the rain along with the thunder and lightning.
We'll comfort the scared dog and send our thank you prayers to the heavens for our rain.
Here in central Arizona (NOT Phoenix area) we have been in drought condition for many years. Little to no snow in the winter and little to no rain during our summer “monsoon” season.

Looks like more frog stranglers today along the Florida Treasure Coast....not lacking for rain at this time and Hurricane season starts in 9 days
We were on vacation visiting in New Orleans where last Saturday, I believe, we had 3+ inches of rain in one hour. That contrasts significantly with the 3.18 inches of rain San Diego has accumulated since last October 1! San Diego could very easily see no more rain this year until late fall. Enjoy the rain when you can.
What with all those gases coming out of that Hawiian volcano, can it be said we have "Global Farting."
