Hi everyone. I have been monitoring your posts for about the last 6 weeks and feel I know enough to introduce my self. I just retired a year and half ago and wanted to do some real "amateur" photography. I use a Nikon D7200 with a Nikor 18-200 lens. I did take a beginning photo class at our local community college and really enjoyed it. It has been awhile since I have been out taking any photos but I enjoy getting out and seeing what I can do. Thanks to all you photo veterans for your posts they are helping me a lot. Keep posting.

Welcome! There is a great discussion and series led by Linda of Maine about light. You may find it helpful, I certainly do. Here is the link:

Welcome to the forum Keven.
And don't forget to tune in, and hopefully contribute, to our almost-daily discussions on:
- Canon vs Nikon
- prime vs zoom
- filter vs no filter
- lens hood vs no lens hood
- which lens to take on safari
- which lens to take on a cruise
Welcome!

Keven, Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your retirement and picking a great hobby. I have on my bucket list to go to Palouse to capture the rolling meadows and barns. Do you live near that section of WA?
Thanks for the information. I read the first article and he helped a lot.
