I love the colorful umbrellas, and, of course, the chairs. I take pictures of chairs all the time.
They are a favorite subject matter of mine.

Beach, wildlife and sunsets. Add to that fantastic winter weather, no snow and little cold. Lower Alabama!

Atlanta Idaho is a historical gold mining town that was once thriving with families and gold minors looking to strike it rich. Located up in the mountains, four hours down a dirt road outside of Boise Idaho there are still many of the original buildings, cabins, old historical buildings, gold mining flues and equipment. There is a Church, two bars and a hand full of residents that still live there. It is a beautiful place where you can enjoy the beauty of nature as well as a bit of history.

Wonderful Set Soans..

Now back around here .....Might be a re-run but these are places where I hike almost weekly from when the ice goes down until it comes back up again.

Walking here in my solitude beats all the pills I'm taking daily

I am fortunate to live in Maine. My small town (4,281 in 2010) is a bedroom community for Portland and rich in history. It maintains a "rural" flavor close to the amenities and entertainment of the largest city in Maine. Early settlers were highly dependent on the Saco River which is one border of the town. It transported logs to local saw mills and goods down to towns along it's way to the ocean. Many old buildings still stand. The library is a layered pic. Some may have read as a child "Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm" The author, Kate Douglas Wiggin had home (which is still standing and occupied) in Hollis. She started this library around the turn of the century and founded several local festivals in the early 1900s. One of her plays is dramatized annually.

I couldn't ask for a better place to live than Colorado. We have mountains, plains and prairies on the east, lakes, rivers with an abundance of wildlife to photograph. It really is heaven on earth.

We live about 35-40 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park with is approximately 76 mi northwest of Denver International Airport in north-central Colorado, within the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The park is situated between the towns of Estes Park to the east and Grand Lake to the west. The eastern and westerns slopes of the Continental Divide run directly through the center of the park with the headwaters of the Colorado River located in the park's northwestern region. The main features of the park include mountains, alpine lakes and a wide variety of wildlife within various climates and environments, from wooded forests to mountain tundra.
