hours to get home last night in all the upheaval. But all's well...Never under estimante mother nature! We RARELY Ever get tornado forecasts! Last one probably at least 3 years ago..

Growing up in St. Cloud MN, my family never had a budget for traveling, so when I drove home from TX one year with my daughter to visit them from TX, when we were leaving for home and got in the car I asked her, "How would you like to spend a week in Duluth?" As she looked at me with those deer in the headlight eyes, she said, "What about dad?" I said, "I guess we could call and ask him?," smiling.
We spent a wonderful week in Duluth and I hope you enjoy the photos.
I love Washington. Spent allot of time in Gig Harbor and on San Juan Island at my Uncles house growing up. I also spent some time sailing up the coast of British Columbia - fantastic!.

Never been to Duluth. Looks to be an interesting place.
Our town has many old historical buildings and there is now an active historical society trying to breather new life into history. I don't think I posted these in this thread before. I've been told the plywood (also on the inside) sandwiches beautiful stained glass windows.

Many homes still decorate at least their doors, for the season. It seems nobody uses their front door - generally a side door.

Plenty of fields around - some produce corn, pumpkins, squash. Many are used to produce hay, graze a few cows.

A thriving local business - handmade reproduction furniture (early "primitives")

And we have wildlife - "Rascal" lives under our barn

And the bluebirds, once scarce, are now "regulars". We have a couple pairs.
