Hi. I'm Rick and a professional camera technician. It sounds like you're talking about removing the front lens group. This is not to difficult. The only thing is you'll need to re-calibrate your infinity focus when you're done. This is controlled by the position of the front group. It's best to mark the exact position of the front group before you begin. If you'd prefer to have it cleaned professionally, please contact me via PM.

Moisture had developed behind the lens of my Tamron 18 x 200 lens (Canon). I exposed the lens to a simple drying process which dried the moisture but left some slight residue on the lens.
U tube makes the clean up seem simple; removing a vinyl ring, several screws, cleaning the debris and reassembly.
I am reasonably competent with tools. Hence, is this a difficult undertaking or am I better off having this done by a professional?
