You have lots of good suggestions so far. You might also want to check out the tutorials accessed on the tab eLive. The Guided Edits were also mentioned. Liked the idea about checking out the Layers in the Expert mode, which sometimes helps you to understand. FWIW

I bought PSE 11 and was lucky that my local Community College offered a one day class which included an instruction manual
and that was all I needed. You tube is great but you can't ask questions. That same source also has other great information available.

Greetings!
I appreciate your suggestion.
I'll check out my disk and see if there is a manual on it.
I didn't notice it when I uploaded the program.
I could have just missed it.
Thank you much!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm "Old School" and relate to print better than videos, so I never think to look for them.
I'll give them a try!

There's little difference between Elements 2018 and 15. There's actually more difference between Elements 13 and 15 in screen presentation. Kelby's book on Elements 15, augmented by Rick Peterson's tutorials sited above, will do you fine. You may not need Peterson's 2018 tutorials until you're well into it, because the changes 15 to 2018 are for advanced users. BIG HINT on Elements: It's an Adobe product and unlike Microsoft products that you can muddle through with on-screen menus, many of Elements' basic setup and operating commands are best and in a few cases, only done through keyboard commands. Learn them and Elements life will be much simpler. Kelby lists the keyboard commands but doesn't emphasize their importance.

Greetings!
I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018, and need a book on how to use it.
I purchased the Adobe PE2018 Classroom in a book, and returned it.
I am used to the "Step by step" instruction in
Scott Kelbys books, but he hasn't published one on this yet.
Any recommendations?

I do not know of another book (I bought the Adobe book, too, but have not had time to use it and its online materials). However, I think you could find this online resource useful: on Udemy.com, you can find a course entitled "The Ultimate Photoshop Elements Training Bundle" (and I think it says "73 hours of instruction") that will go a long way toward getting you started. The latest update covers the 2018 version--I think it starts before 10 and covers each version, but you can watch only the ones you want (I first bought it when I was still using 14 and just went through the course for it). If you are even a little patient, you can get the bundle for $9.99 (or maybe $10.99)--you will get all kinds of offers, particularly when you first visit the site. I have found the courses informative and very useful--you can review any particular lesson you want pretty much anytime.

On Udemy.com, there are a lot of free courses and relatively inexpensive courses available on all subjects photographic--some are quite helpful and informative and some not so much.

Here's a few resources that I've used:

Udemy has two classes - the Ultimate Photoshop Training bundle and Photoshop Photoelements - 5 steps to betters photos. Both cost around $11.99. You can start with the latter course to get you going and then go with the Ultimate course. That course takes you into the Organizer and a lot more indepth on all the tools while the 5 Steps course is designed to get you using Photoelements quickly to edit your pictures.

HowtoGurus has a DVD on Photoelements. Its excellent. Very in depth.

Rick Peterson has a course (I've not taken it) but he has a lot of videos on Photoelements techniques that you'll find useful.

I suggest getting Kelby's book on Photoshop Elements 14 (or later); they will have the same basic information as his book on 2018 (I know because I bought his book on Elements 9 and his book on 14 is a rehash, more or less, of his Elements 9 book). The older books will also cost less than his 2018 book (when it comes out).

Thank you!
I will check out PE 15.
I am mostly interested in replacing the sky.
That's why I went from PE12 to 2018.
I appreciate your help!

Here is link to a post from my blog a couple of years ago. It provides a link to a video that describes how to replace a sky. It might help you.

I've had PSE since version 1. Only update occasionally. Started on 1 then 3, think went to 6 then 9, 12, now on 15. Always get the Scott Kelby "PSE for Photographers" and the Dummies book. Not planning to go to a newer one for a while.
