This is a photo of the Citrus County Historical Courthouse in Inverness, FL while on a recent road trip to the west coast of Florida. The courthouse was used for the court scenes in the Elvis Presley 1962 movie "Follow That Dream" that was filmed primarily in the Florida cities of Inverness, Yankeetown, Ocala and Crystal River and other locations. The courthouse now houses a historical museum and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. Many Florida counties have restored their old original, classic courthouses back to their original style. Built in 1912, this style has been described as eclectic, with elements of Neo-Classical, Italian Renaissance, Prairie School and Mission styles....still its a pretty classic building.
