Very nice work Jim. I really like the effect you are getting with your Stars.

Just a reminder of what I have been trying to correct. I may be close to what I can expect from this scope.
Jim.

Yukkie!
Well, you've come away by leaps and bounds now.
You've been a good TAAS Student, Grasshopper.
Doesn't it figure? Now we are coming to the better viewing seasons, and work gets in the way.
Just remember, the Universe was there when we were born, and it will be there when we are gone.
But it can fill our eyes and senses when we take the time to stop and look up.

Thanks Craig but that’s the bad shot that broke the camels back.
Way too much flare on one side.

Nice shots, in particular the collimated star.
But I'm sure you didn't use a 120 sec. exposure on the Moon!?

Thanks Brian.
You are correct.
I was planning on posting a shot of the whirlpool galaxy but it didn't work out the way I wanted and went with these instead.
The Moon was shot at ISO 125, 1/800 second exposure.
Arkie was shot at ISO 100, 3 seconds

This is the Whirlpool that goes with the original specs.
I stacked 12 frames in the newer DSS 64 bit version and was able to get this one.
It at least stacked it but gave me a lot of spot noise.
I added 10 dark frames to no avail, I don't know where this noise came from but oh well.
Before you ask, Topaz couldn't remove this. I tried.
This is uncropped.

But it is there and not really that bad...
