I am not sure this doesn't take a lot of the challenge from photography. The results demonstrated appear awesome, but I would not like to show images that I had to admit were AI produced. Something in me keeps me from saying "I took this".
Things change. I use a laptop instead of a typewriter; email instead of letters; a cell phone instead of a telegram; a wrist watch instead of a pocket watch; an automobile instead of a horse; a digital camera instead of a film camera; a post processing application instead of a darkroom; etc. No one forces you to use new technology. When someone likes one of my prints, they seldom ask what camera I used, what the camera settings were, what post processor I used, or what printer I used. It doesn't make any difference.
