I am really enjoying shooting bubble bokeh, So much so I ordered another lens
and found out my Minolta MC Rokkor 58mm 1.4 PF does a wonderful job also, it's just a bit to fast to shoot wide open.
Please use the downloads on these.
Thanks for Looking!!!!!
Wonderful technique, Johnny. Very nice images.
Johnny, I for one love those bubbles and would love a lens like that for my camera... but have no clue on what!
Do you need to shoot into the sun to get that effect... when I used my helios, I didn't get any bokeh... must try again!!
I enjoyed them all!!

Outstanding work, Johnny ! You are right about shooting wide open. With DOF being so thin it is difficult and more so
these days when it has been windy all through.

An interesting set, Johnny.
Not sure what a bubble bokeh is, but all are beautiful, Johnny!!

Glad you enjoyed Angela!!!! Your Helios 44-2 shoots excellent bubble bokeh.
here is what I did to understand what was going on, find a big tree that is back lit, focus on the tree and then throw the lens out of focus, you will start to see bubbles clear as day, snap the picture and download it, you will see.
Next put a subject in front of it and shoot it in focus your lit up tree in the background it will have out of focus and bubbles in it.
Things to remember, must be daytime, early in the morning or late in the afternoon are best.
shoot wide open, that will be f/2 on your lens
a easy setting on your camera is A (aperture priority) mode and auto ISO.

Thanks for the link and info, Johnny.... I think my problem when I used my lens, is that it wasn't sunny and bright... I feel better now and when the sun finally decides to come out and the wind stops, I'm going to try it again... I did enjoy the link, very informative!! Thanks again!!!
