The B&W are excellent, particularly No. 1. The color shots do not have the same impact on me.

I can say from experience as a 30+ year professional firefighter, well done. My compliments. I miss some friends but am too darn old now for that work.

Another set of 911 First Responders photographs. This incident was a few days ago when I responded to a fully engulfed garage fire. Because the fire was in a part of the county where there were no nearby hydrants, Tanker trucks and a "mutual aid" call was made to the surrounding city fire companies to assist the volunteer department. Luckily there were no injuries but the garage, which had a car and tractor inside, were totally destroyed.Theses photographs, again, display the dedication and courage of our First Responders. I included color as well as black & white photos. These were all shot with available light, ISO 4000, NIKON D5, NIKON 80mm-200mm AF-S 2.8 and a NIKON 24mm-70mm AF-S 2.8.

Nice shots all. I, too, prefer the black and whites for their dramatic effect.

I think the first B&W and the color shots are the best. In any case, you did some very good shooting!

Nicely done, on all of them. I love the colors, they are so suttle and the reflective tape doesn't jump out at you, like it does with most flash....

Great series and nice tribute Doc. The B&Ws are very dramatic. As for the color renditions, the second one is magnificent. It has that "Magazine Cover" artistry.
