Fine series, just keep on clicking and posting!!
I live in Florida and recognize these birds, as they appear in my yard and neighborhood. You have done a great job capturing them. I am not a photographer, just someone who enjoys taking photos. Most of them are taken on our early morning dog walk, with a leash in one hand and the camera in the other, so I'm sort of a spray and pray kind of shooter. I judge my own photos by how well the bird's eyes are in focus and have a catch light. That's hard in a dark bird with dark eyes, such as your second photo where they eyes are in dark feathers. Your photos are excellent in capturing the essence of the bird!
I pretty mulch shoot on Auto, but have a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX90V, which I like, and which I bought to someday learn how to its manual controls. Not sure I can ever wrap my head around that...
Where did you get the Florida Scrub Jay image? Thanks - Rob

Merritt Island NWR - along a trail, something like Scrub Jay Ridge.
Sandy Sea, thank you. Those Scrub Jays were so confiding, we were shooting at point- blank range with good light, I never got such feather detail.

Very nice. I was just in FL at the Wakodahatchee preserve shooting birds with 200-500mm and my D5. A lot of fun.
That place is amazing. Visited it a couple of years ago.
