Was setting up my Sony A7 and now when I take a photo the last photo stays in the viewfinder, will only go to view mode when i depress the shutter button. Cannot seem to find the setting to remove this feature.

Have you read the manual?

If unable to find it in the manual, Google the issue...

I have a Sony a7r3 & have owned several other Sonys before that. Their cameras allow you to turn off the photo review. However, even if you have that feature on for the photo review it should only stay up for a couple of seconds. However, in your title you mention photo magnification. That's a different feature used for focusing. The camera may be set up to stay in magnification mode indefinitely. However, that doesn't sound like your problem if you are indefinitely seeing the photo you just took. If that's the case you may have a problem & should call Sony.

FYI I just looked at my manual & I see the automatic photo review can be set for as long as 10 seconds. If it's holding longer than that you may have a problem.

if you are up for a wise investment. http://www.friedmanarchives.com/ Gary Friedman writes very detailed books describing everything about every Sony camera made. It will describe every menu item, which ones effect other ones and how and prescribe some recommended settings. It's an e book and I have purchased one for each of my sony cameras through the years.

Numerous free tutorials on YouTube will take you step-by-step through the menu setup for your Sony cameras. I am a pro and I initially used these to help me to set and understand the extensive menu options in my Sony A6500, A7RII, A7RIII. I also read the manual and help guides. I have ordered the A7III which has almost identical menu setup, so it should be a snap now. Cheers

Yes Gary Fong's tutorial is extensive. I suggest you go Sony's website and download the "Help Guide" for your model. The help guides are different from the manuals. I find the help guides do a better job of helping you if you are stuck on an issue. I downloaded a copy of the help guide to both my computer and my smartphone, so I always have it to refer to. Cheers.

The user guides are always better than the manual at explaining things...

I totally agree Screamin Scott, and yes they are called "user guides" not help guides, thanks for the correction. Cheers
