I spent the day photographing Desert raptors. I was lucky enough to catch the Crested Caracara, Great horned owl and the Harris hawk.
The Crested Caracara is on the Mexico flag with a snake in its talons. A year ago I had some fantastic shots of the great horned owl. I was blessed again to get similar photos. It took many shots to get these.
The last one is of the Harris hawk. They hunt in groups of two or three. One will fly in and distract the prey and the others will swoop down and grab it.

Rick, Great captures. Images are excellent of the desert raptors.
These are awesome birds, and great pictures of them.
Your owl looks serious. I think there is one less mouse now.
