While at Blue Spring State Park, Husband and I bought a couple ice cream tacos. A cute little squirrel hopped up on our table and we began feeding it bits of the waffle crust which he loved. He grew bolder and bolder until I set down my taco (of which I had only taken 2 or 3 bites) to take a picture of him. He then grabbed the taco and was away before I could react. I sure hope it gave him brain freeze!!
What an innocent face!

Love it -- especially the "Who, me?" look in the third shot!

Great images....yep, they are hooligans for sure!
Wonderful pictures.. cute little furry guy... I had a great uncle who had chipmunks that used to eat peanuts out of his had , get them out of his pocket, and sit on hi shoulder. It always was very careful not to get his hearing aid cord...
Nice shots, but they are rodents and carry verious diseases. Be careful.

Glad you liked them. I used a D7500 with a Tamron 18-400 lens.

I like that third portrait. Looks like he is rubbing his little hands together and sniggering, while he contemplates the evil deed he is about to perpetrate on the unsuspecting victim...
BTW, I once saw a medium-sized grey squirrel abscond with a whole jam & cream 2 layer sponge cake (about 12 inches across), that had been placed on a side table against an open window... S/he lost the top layer after the third bound, but her โfenceโ stepped in to receive that particular item of stolen goods. When last seen, they were both bouncing down the path on their hind legs into the bushes, with mouths and both hands clutching their ill-gotten goods... why do these things happen when thereโs no camera to record the event?
