A few flowers.
I spent the morning at Brazos Bend State Park, SW of Houston, TX.
These are all stacks except the third flower.
I think this is a Cherokee Rose-Rosa laevigata. As usual for me, all IDs are suspect :)

I don't expect there will be an ID on the leaves but I'm hoping for one on the little white flower.

Could it be an unopened Cherokee rose or the bud of a dewberry bloom?

Not the Cherokee rose for sure. The dewberry is a possibility with the thorns.
