Why??? Yes, the card format is standard, but there are FAT16, FAT32, and ExFAT standards. And different camera companies use different, proprietary file folder structures, or write special configuration data on a card when it is formatted. Then there are SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards...
It was formated in a video camera and when I put it in the camera it wont read it so I can reformat it in the camera. I did pull the videos off it in the computer and reformatted it in the computer.
