wonderful shots. I have often wished I could have visited the island. "Misty" was one of my favorite books, I just love the ponies. Thank you for sharing these with us.

Nice captures, Bill, but you should be thankful he only licked the front of the lenses, and not chomp down on it. (They've been known to do that.)
Nice photos. The wife and I go down to Assateague at least once a year. Great place for taking photos.

Do remember that there is a healthy fine for touching those ponies, and as pointed out about they do bite, cameras and people. Yeah, get close but not too close. Great shots, by the way.
