Model, photographer each fined $300 for nude photo shoot at Pa. strip mall
Totally nuts on their part!

Thoughts? What is there to say? I have absolutely no problem with anyone doing nude modeling, (not actually for me, at my age and body shape,) or photography of a nude subject. But if those two had any thought that doing that publicly in a mall was not going to have the result it obviously did, they are both dumb as a bag of rocks!

One never knows about happenings in Pennsylvania where I and my wife come from (she grew up next to Monroeville) and as far as I know, never did such a thing.
Michael, Great stunt. She is set for life now. Her modeling career will take off with all the PR.
My thoughts are:
1. It appears that these two planned to do something that is against the law, at a location where one or both intended the shoot to have some sort of “shock factor” associated with it
2. As a consequence, they received everything they deserved. I’m slightly surprised that the other charges were dropped?
3. In nearly every other Country in the World, this story would not have made big news. I think that says more about the state of the media in the US, and the general population’s hang-ups, prejudices, and “baggage” about public nudity, than anything else. But it does relate back to thought 1 (above); this act would have had little shock factor in many other countries.
4. If this photographer was a legitimate operator, I would think that his reputation is now shot.
If that's the sum total of the punishment they got off lightly. That could quite easily have got them both sex offender registry entries, AIUI!
So yeah, lucky idiots, IMO.

Makes one wonder if he was allowed to keep the shots he took prior to being busted.

Totally legal in NYC. So I have no issues - as long as it is not illegal where they did it. Though a public park would have been a better setting that a strip mall, which is private property open to the public.
Appears to be a publicity stunt you think!

Don't know but am curious if it will give any ideas to the folks over on the 'Nude Photography Forum'?
The real issue is 'no permit'. The rest is BS and folks here that just see nudity as wrong are the doorbells some already mentioned.
There is another issue side stepped, as usual. Why do student have to resort to selling themselves (or image of themselves) in order to pay for their college education??? Anyone thought of that?
There is a
