Canon's Canoscan Flatbed Scanner 8800f does not have drivers for MAC OS High Sierra

Update Just heard from Canon Corporate. I initiated a complain about the issue of not supporting my Canoscan 8800f. After a day they contacted me and offered to sell me the Canoscan 9000f MK II for a 50% discount! However, they are currently out of stock, but will advise me when available.
I accepted their offer since buying the "Professional" version of Vuescan is "sale priced" at $99.95.

Oh, the offered price from Canon Corporate for the 9000 f MKII is $95.00.

That's a good scanner, and a good price, but there is no guarantee that you won't have the same problem with the next Apple (or Windows ) update or the one after that. Vuescan may be a better long term bet...

BTW, I have the 9000f MKII running happily on Windows 10. I can't comment on Apple products.
