Germany gave up their guns and see what happened there! The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with one. Teachers should not be forced to carry/traine in gun safety but I'm sure that there are a few teachers at each school that would volunteer for the training. And especially, the students/other teachers should not know who is allowed to carry. Like in the Navy, it was said that because of the type of weapons on board certain ships, there was always a unknown "Captain Killer" on board if things started to go bad. Don't know if it is true, but!!
