You will need a pair of anaglyph glasses to view in 3D.

I like the first one best. Everything comes out properly and is a very good example of 3D work.

The second one is, in my opinion, ruined by the rusted(?) sign. In a way, it looks like you had a piece of an old, exposed (yellowed) photographic film floating in the exhibit. My guess is it's a sign made of brass. BTW I don't think I'd like it in 2D either as that brass/rust color distracts and detracts from the picture.

It is a sign that relates information as to the display and the ship it was taken from. The sign is in such a deteriorated condition that only a few words can be recognized.
Even though the sign is a problem I thought I would add it to the post so one might see the arrangement from the rear.

Too bad they haven't updated/repaired/replaced the sign.

*** Thank you, Dave. I was hoping that the first one would work out that way when I took the photos.

Single camera offset for two images which are then combined by a 3D method with computer software such as Photoshop. Note: two cameras of the same type and settings synchronized to fire at the same instance, this method would be preferable if the photo was to have moving images in it.

The offset distance varies as to the distance to the objects being photographed, and the lens focal length. For objects that are close such as portraits or objects less than approximately 10 ft. with a normal lens, an offset of perhaps 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches should work. This is the approximate distance one eye is offset from the other eye. Another way that may put you in the ballpark is 4 inches for every 10 feet. Hope this helps to get you into some 3D photos. Experiment by shooting more than one set at different separations you should then end up with some usable photo sets. Also, make notes so you can duplicate what works for different distances to the object(s) you select to photograph.

The separation distance also changes with the mm of the lens used. Telephoto/shorter, Wide angle/double the separation.

Note: Do not point the camera at the same focus point. Just move the camera to one side without doing so.

There are stereo cameras that are for sale for taking 3D photos. Amazon or eBay probably have them for sale.

Thank you, Barb. My range officer told me not to look down the barrel, oops.

Filled the sign with an adjacent color which seems to downplay its obnoxiousness some. I'd like to have edited it out but didn't want to spend an exorbitant amount of time trying the edit.

I didn't post this one with the others as it has my car in the background. I noticed it just after I took the photo, so I moved so it would not show in the other two shots. Oops, looked down the barrel.
