A different view of one of my favorite waterfalls in North Carolina.
Taken at F3.2 and 1/4 second from a tripod.
Please use the download. Thanks
Some on here don't care for blurring waterfalls but I do. Great work to my eyes.
Wonderful work in my eyes too, I only wish we had water falls around here to photograph, I live on the coast, but long exposure coastal water images are not too interesting compared to water falls and fast moving streams. you are such a lucky one to have such beauty nearby.
Don't get me wrong I live in one of the only counties in Florida who have acted on preserving the natural beauty of our coastline, it's not developed, and we have an abundance of springs and sinkholes, and too much wildlife to mention. I have my creative thinking cap on to figure out just how to show all of this in one image.
The image you posted is breath taking, do it again, and blur it even more!
Way to go, Great job

Very nice, I enjoy the waterfalls in western NC. Is this in the area?

Thanks very much. This is a shot I've been planning for quite a while. Just needed the right subject.
As for blurring waterfalls, many are in such dark places that all you can do is blur them.
But to blur or not to blur is the choice of the photographer. He (she) is the one who has to be satisfied.
I apprecaite your commenting.

Thanks for your very kind comment. I live in SOUTH Florida a county that has preserved NOTHING! I have to travel to get so see any waterfalls. This is from a recent trip up north to North Carolina.
I sorta agree about the longer exposure. i tried several and thought this was tghe best. A lot seems to depend on the flow of water over the falls. I had to shoot this with a 10 stop ND filter to get it this slow.

Thanks for looking. This is Soco Falls just out side of Cherokee on the south side of Smoky Mountain NP.
Thanks for looking and for the kind comment.
The blurring works so well because it's not the focal point, the branch is.
Great work, thanks for sharing.

You are correct. That was my intent. I used a 200mm lens so I could create the blur effect.
Thanks for commenting and for the compliment.
I am loving this view, Larry. It may have been dark but the light you got was perfect! The colors are gorgeous, the water flowing, the green branch..a nice subject.. but I am mesmerized by the falls.

Well done!!!!!

Well done. I like the foreground/background composition. ND filters are wonderful when used correctly.
Looks good in the download.
Well taken.
