Ralph
My pleasure Ralph, still two more weeks to go soaking up the sunshine before heading back to the snowy UK! I appreciate your generous comments very much. Thank you for looking in. He is a fine looking lion albeit with a few battle scars.

Thank you so much Bill for your always generous comments and thumbsup, pleased you enjoyed them. The lion and the leopard were the only two in huge enclosures. First the Ranger and I had to walk a long way to find where they were. With the lions having double metal structures (one electrified)it was difficult for me to reach the inner one. As we were on our own the Ranger just for a couple of minutes turned the power off.
With the telephoto lens extended and a fast shutter speed you hold the lens right up against the fence, with it centred through the small gap in the mesh and take the shot. Only single mesh for the leopard, no electricity to worry about!
The day was overcast with cloud cover so no reflections to bother about.
