How I spent my first full day of retirement! Update on our stinky issue.
The city maintenance manager came last evening and pulled both upper and lower grade sewer covers. He said their end was all clear. This afternoon, the maintenance crew came and again pulled the upper grade cover and ran a contraption all the way down past the lower junction. Unfortunately, all WAS clear on their end. So the hubby drove 100 miles to the city and purchased a electric drain auger, with the thought of renting it to our neighbors who have the same issue. With our clean out being under our house, hubby couldn't fit under there to use the auger. That left lil ole me to tackle the problem. NO problem, I tell him! And set out to become a plumber for a day. Yep, got-er-done. All drains are running as it should. So in turn, hubby gets to clean the bathrooms with bleach and disinfectant. ALL IS GOOD AT OUR HOUSE! Stress is now all gone, and I bet I sleep well tonight. Thank you to all your thoughts and concerns. Hopefully tomorrow will be uneventful.
City maintenance running their contraption
inside too long will dull one
like all work and no pay will

YAAAAYYYY. It's a good thing you are little. Still wondering why others in neighborhood had problems too. Love the picture - what? No plumber's crack? Oh wait! This is a "family friendly site" - I almost forgot.

Right, Bill. Gotta keep the mind going and ideas flowing.

Not so much that I'm little, just more agile and pliable and strong as a horse. Learned a long time ago, that overalls (in my case it was coveralls) cures plumbers crack. As for the neighbors, we already have the auger rented to two of them for the next 48 hours. I guess, it was all a coincidence. Or maybe KARMA. I don't know! All I know for sure is... Today was the day I worried about yesterday. And even the longest day comes to an end..,

I've taken on the "Project" of decorating the windows at our church that are beside the elevator stops. There are 5 windows plus a bulletin board that I have to decorate. So, I started at Christmas time. I made up "Folded Paper Stars". People liked them so well that I left them in January & just re-named them "Snowflakes". Then came February, so I made up "Folded Paper Heart wreaths". March is a couple days away, so that means St. Pat's Day, so I made Shamrocks from fuzzy chenille (Pipe Cleaners) & "Luck of the Irish" cutouts. Passes my time "stuck inside"!
