My Father converted this model T ford into a racer and use to race it in Fourth of July races in Mandan, ND cira 1940, My Dad in drivers seat and me and my brother, My Dad had a service station in Braddock, ND

A true muscle car at least back in the day anyway
The engine was stock, my Dad told me that some of the cars in the race where souped up and so he never won a race,LOL

How much beefing up could a person do back then outside of hotter plugs, bigger carb, scoot the timing a little faster. Not sure if most guys had got into opening the bores and better cams and better tolerances on the heads for the back mechanic.
