I just started using a Nikon D300s. Great camera. I was using a Canon point and shoot. It has 20mpx my Nikon has 12mpx. Does it matter? I have been submitting shots to different sites I belong to. What is the opinion of using both

My Fuji X100F for sure. Great optics, light weight and versatile enough for 90% of what I do!

I would love to own the The Canon 1Dx with 24-105. $6500 to pricey for me.

So I went with the same as an earlier poster Sony RX 10 III. He has the next version
which is better AF. This camera just works. Great stills 24 2.4 to 600mm. Great video.
Great 4k video. I shoot soccer of my grandkids with this. Long shots which allows
me to shoot a Art Basel with no problem. 120 setting Slo mo. Stabilized. Ken Rockwell
said he found himself taking it everywhere.

Definitely Canon for better color & video. Canon 5D MKIIII with 24-70mm f2.8 lens.

It would be my Nikon D5 with my Nikon 24-120 G lens. Great combination.

Olympus EP-5 with Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 Pro. Lightway, small and versatile combo very capable of producing excellent images.
I also have the OM-10 Mk II with better technology but images are about the same.

You are on a public forum. Not everyone is nice no more than everone you meet in your daily life is nice. Do or did you quit going to work because there were some disagreeable people there? Just shrug it off and carry on. I have been maligned on here many times, especially in the attic. Don't give up a good thing because of a few comments. If you do you are playing right into their hands. Also and I say this in a kind way, get a thicker skin. You seem to be eaaily offended.

Canon EOS T7i with the Canon EF-S 17-85mm lens mounted on it. A real camera with a very good lens. I include in the bag a Canon 480EXII flash gun (with a few accessories) for artificial lighting as needed or desired. It all fits in a medium-sized bag.

I'd describe this gear together as my walking-around camera. I attain good results with it.

For the national parks and other landscape photography, I use my Canon 6DII with the Sigma 24-105mm lens mounted on it for 95 percent of my shots.

The Fuji X-T2 with 18-135 lens. It has all the mechanical controls a camera can offer, is the smallest body that is still easily manipulated by my hands, and the lens is reasonably sized while producing very sharp images (even in low light) and covers the focal length range most of us use for the great majority of our photos.

Dear binsjohn. Thought I was reading the post I was about to type. Everything you said about the X-T2 I agree with. Also love seeing your exposure and WB before you shoot and through the viewfinder

Where I live, here in a marina, I keep the 100-400mm on my Panasonic G9 almost 100% of the time.

Probably my Canon 5Div and 100-400 and if allowed, a 1.4x converter. I would go for the image quality over the speed of the 1DX.

My Graphic View II 4x5 with a Schneider-Kreuznach 210mm Symar f/5.6.

Why? Versatility, less to go wrong with the camera, great detail, excellent exposure control, and versatility.

Good deal, I've got a couple of 4x5" cameras. Also a Schneider-Kreuznach Symmar f/5.6 210mm, S-K Super Angulon f/8 120mm, and Nikon-W f/5.6 150mm, with Copal Shutters, and a few more odd ball lenses. But I mainly do digital these days.
