I would say no. You can probably get more info from this site. You just have a ask and you will get a ton of help.
All the info you need is free on Youtube.

I like the David duChemin, Craft & Vision ebooks if you are looking for that kind of thing. National Geographic also offers a package of some kind, which might be helpful.
You cannot trust what you read on Rip Off report. I know the owner.

I don't know anything about Great Escape, but if it is expensive you could probably get what you need for a lot less. First, if you are just starting, you can find information in books, video tutorials, photography/photographers websites. Second, you should decide what type of learning style suits you best. I started with books because I could refer back to them over and over. Then I discovered some websites that had opportunities for viewing video tutorials. CreativeLive.com is one to look at - they have their "On Air" programs [Free] on a lot of different subjects, including photography, and the videos are also for sale. The instructors are very good, and usually have their own websites.
There are also subscription websites like Scott Kelby's and Lynda.com, plus others. This is where you want to look for free trials before signing up to pay. A number of years ago I signed up with Scott Kelby, and the video tutorials were mostly very good. Old ones were not being removed, though, so had to watch for that! I got a free trial with Lynda.com - a lot of people recommend the tutorials on her site. But I cancelled because there were not enough on the specific subject I was looking for, and $35 per month is a bit steep.
I have discovered a lot of websites that offer free tutorials. They usually also have programs they charge for, but no obligation! YouTube has tons of free tutorials, just better to have recommendations for whose to view - it will save you time wading through the rest. If you search around in the internet, you will be surprised at how much you will find.

Actually Lynda.com is $24.95 per month.

I'm pretty sure $35 is what they charged when I did not cancel my free trial in time.

Check with your local library. Some are now offering free access to lynda.com through the LinkedIn program. I can in Yakima Washington, and UHH user blackest in Ireland has posted a topic regarding. Someone I know in British Columbia also gets it free

Thank you for the suggestion/information. Our library here is very "small town", but the librarian keeps it as up-to-date as possible. Plus the library system in Vermont spreads programs around throughout the state. I will inquire about the LinkedIn program. There were some good videos on Lynda.com for PS, but my need was for help with the Wacom tablet. There were not too many tutorials for that in the site. I've since managed to set things up pretty well and using it comes fairly natural to me. Just have to keep working with it and progress to using the pressure-sensitive function...

I know the people at Great Escape Publishing and have arranged photo tour and travel writing workshops for them to Jordan with Petra; Oaxaca, Mexico for Day of the Dead; Cuba and Vietnam. I have found them to be reputable and highly dedicated to their attendee's learning experience. The photographers and travel writers that teach their programs skilled, credentialed professionals who impart actionable information as they oversee daily shooting or writing activities while on tour and conduct reviews of attendee work on a daily basis. In every instance they delivered what they promised.
The clients I met while escorting these programs for them were all extremely pleased with the content and the tours overall. Almost all had attended multiple prior events and trips with Great Escape. They all told me they were very pleased with the program and instructors and would travel again with Great Escape.
